Bigfoot and Ginger began our foray into songwriting on Father’s Day in 2025. After planting a Japanese maple in honor of her husband who had recently passed, Marie wrote a song called Goodbye and sent a voice note recorded with her phone on her patio over to Brett with the comment, “Let’s write some fuckin music!” Brett’s response? “Hells yes, I’m in.” The next day, Brett sent a voice note with an acoustic piece he was working on and that collaboration turned into our first co-written song, Believe Again.

Today, Bigfoot and Ginger are a trio making our mark on the Portland area music scene. We are:

• Marie Treadway- Guitar, vocals
• John Christofferson- Electric and acoustic bass
